The Travel Clinic and what it offers

Important Information!

Please arrange to attend an appointment with our Nurse as soon as possible and at least 7 weeks before departure. If there are 6 weeks or less before your departure then we cannot support your requests at Polden Medical Practice and you need to use the services of the local MASTA travel clinics listed here.

Day Lewis Pharmacy, Love Lane, Burnahm on Sea, TA8 1EU: Tel: 0330 100 4106

Day Lewis Pharmacy, 74 Hendford, Yeovil, BA20 1UY Tel: 0330 100 4106

The surgery is happy to advise you and provide necessary travel immunisations and anti-malarial therapy where necessary (subject to charges, available from reception).

Please ask for a travel form at reception. We will require details of the town, country, type of accommodation and proposed dates of travel to assess the risk factors.

Some travel vaccines are ordered on a private prescription and these incur a charge over and above the normal prescription charge.  This is because not all travel vaccinations are included in the services provided by the NHS.
